A Simple Glow Routine for Real Life
By Maureen, The Beauty Brand
Spring here never tiptoes in. Windows open, calendars fill, and our skin quietly asks for comfort more than clutter. I’m Maureen, and this is the pared-back spring skincare routine I reach for when I want to look fresh without fuss, a soft edit of body, skin, and make-up that works in our heat and light. Featuring a few favourites that really work on real women, in real weather.
Body: Healthy Glow, No Stickiness
After months of heaters and layers, skin craves comfort. I reach for a multi-use dry oil first. A few drops of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse on damp skin gives that soft, satiny sheen that looks like eight hours of sleep. Depending on the mood (and how generous I’m feeling), I’ll use it head to toe. On low-product days, I dab it over my collarbones and shins, then smooth the leftovers through my hair.
In a rush? Elim Argan Body Gloss Mist is my cheat code. One quick veil and arms and legs feel silky, not greasy. It leaves just enough glow, and it smells uncannily like Dolce & Gabbana’s The One. How’s that for cheating?
What you can expect: supple skin with a quiet radiance that plays nicely with linen, not against it.
Skin: Smooth, Bright, Protected
Makeup always behaves better on calm, hydrated skin. If yours feels rough or your pores look more visible post-winter, start with basics for a effective skincare routine.
Resurface Exfoliating Cleansing Cream is my go-to for lifting dullness. It’s gentle but effective. With micro-encapsulated salicylic acid to buff away dead skin, fade dark spots, and keep breakouts in check. Bonus: it doubles as a soothing overnight mask.
In the morning, I go light and fast. A few fine mists of Vitamin C Essence Serum wake up tired skin and layer beautifully under moisturiser and SPF.
Speaking of SPF – spring sun is playful, but don’t be fooled. Uniforming Tinted Cream SPF50 is my top pick. It evens out tone, calms redness, and protects your skin without feeling heavy. It’s care disguised as coverage.
Make-Up: Skin-First Polish
Spring makeup should let your skin breathe. My everyday base? Hydra Booster Foundation – because it wears like skincare: breathable, hydrating, believable. I apply it from the centre of the face and blend outward, only building where I need it.
This isn’t just foundation – it’s a skin treatment filled with beneficial ingredients.
For lips, RVB LAB Lip Plumping Oil in Cherry adds just enough tint to feel polished. It softens, glosses, and brings a natural flush without stickiness.
Now, a game-changer: I’ve never found a brow product that actually made brows grow – until now. 4D Pro Lash & Brow Serum supports both lash and brow growth. Not just length, but fullness too. The technology behind it is next-level.
A Five-Minute Spring Routine
Evening: Cleanse with Resurface. Follow with Resurface Toner and your moisturiser of choice.
Morning: Mist with Vitamin C Essence, then apply Uniforming Tinted Cream SPF50 on face, neck, and chest.
Foundation: Use Hydra Booster only where you want it.
Lips: Day – Cherry Lip Oil.
Glow: Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse or Argan Gloss on arms, legs, and even cheekbones.
Lashes & Brows: 4D Pro Serum, day and night.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about feeling like you – lighter, hydrated, a little glowy – so you can get on with the living part.
If We Were Standing at My Counter…
What’s bothering you today? Skin that still feels dry? Foundation slipping by lunchtime? Redness that shows up in every photo? We’d tweak two or three things, rather than overhaul everything.
It could be as simple as swapping a harsh cleanser for one that’s smoothing and kind. Or trading a heavy base for a hydrating tint with SPF. Or giving your lips and lashes a little extra care at night so your mornings feel easier.
Spring is a good time to edit, not restart. And I’m here for honest conversations – not hard sells.
If you’d like a quick shade match or a stripped-back routine that fits your skin’s season, send me a note. Include your skin type, your current foundation shade (even from another brand), and what you’re dealing with right now. I’ll guide you from there.
